The Bone Trail ~ June 23, 2026

Jolene Chapman travels the world to run from her past. That is, until she receives the call to return to a place that existed only in her memory and worst nightmares: Mudshark Bay, the now defunct logging camp she grew up in.

She reluctantly returned to the camp to collect personal effects and witness the move of a mobile home she inherited from her ailing father, Glenn. However, when the trailer is moved, bones are discovered under her childhood home, untouched for an estimated twenty years. Jolene and the others—her sister, estranged mother, and various unsavoury folk from their past—aren't going anywhere while the barge containing the trailer is held until the police arrive.

As the police begin to suspect the bones belong to a missing teenager from the neighbouring village where Jolene attended school, it brings up the unbearable childhood memories she is trying to avoid. Evidence of homicide points to the Chapmans, Glenn in particular, and although Jolene is dying to get out of there, she is forced to look at herself and her past. She is the only one who believes in her father's innocence and can save his name by doing something she swore she would never do: return to Qlakwan.
